Jan Vesely Watch #2

Between Robert Griffin III, the NFL's ridiculous 36 million cap hit levied against the Redskins, and NFL free agency, I've been busy caring about other things than the Wizards. I have not watched any Wizards games. Regardless, I will judge Jan Vesely with superficial stats. I'm not here to judge heart and hustle. Let's see how he did.

Game 39: Wizards 99- Blazers 110: LaMarcus Aldridge made us his bitch.

Jan Vesely:
  • Points: 0
  • Rebounds: 0
  • Assists: 0
  • Steals: 0
  • Blocks: 0
  • FG%: 0
  • FT%: 0
"DNP Coach's Decision". Nice. I heard his cheering from the bench was solid.

Game 40: Wizards 97- Spurs 112: Another loss from a team that knows how to play basketball.

Jan Vesely:
  • Points: 0
  • Rebounds: 3
  • Assists: 1
  • Steals: 1
  • Blocks: 0
  • FG%: 0
  • FT%: 0
Played 16 minutes. He had 2 offensive rebounds and zero shot attempts. Not sure what they looked like, but you'd think a 6'11" guy getting an offensive rebound would lead to a shot attempt. Anyway, the 6th pick in the draft didn't take a shot or get to the free throw line while playing 16 minutes. Apparently the Wizards don't even run plays for him. I guess to be fair, they don't run plays for anyone.

Game 41: Wizards 98- Mavericks 107: The only reason it wasn't a blowout was because of Odom. He's terrible.

Jan Vesely:
  • Points: 0
  • Rebounds: 2
  • Assists: 0
  • Steals: 0
  • Blocks: 0
  • FG%: 0
  • FT%: 0
Played 17 minutes. Didn't attempt a shot. Didn't attempt a free throw. How is that possible? He's the worst. In his 17 minutes on the court, the Wizards were out scored by 14 points. What is he good at? I can't figure it out. To get some perspective, the 21 minutes while Chris Singleton was on the floor, the Wizards outscored the Mavericks by 5.
